NDIS Exercise Physiologist
Find a list of NDIS Exercise Physiologist . There are currently some Exercise Physiologist providers offering a range of services.
The NDIS is committed to promoting the physical and emotional well being of Australians with disability. In view of that, the NDIS will fund supports delivered by exercise physiologists, who work closely with participants to design customised exercise programs. This can be done at home or at a wellness centre; it can also be done in a group setting.
Regular physical activity is a key element of any personal care routine, as it improves overall health. For many NDIS participants, their disabilities make it difficult for them to get sufficient exercise. By working with a licensed exercise physiologist, they will learn how to perform a variety of exercises that are specially suited to their needs.
With an individualised exercise routine, NDIS participants are able to strengthen their muscles, increase their mobility, manage chronic pain, and boost their mental health. In doing so they become more independent and more capable of reaching their personal goals.
Exercise physiologists can make a big difference in the lives of NDIS participants. Using their experience and knowledge, they are able to help participants overcome challenges presented by various disabilities, from sensory disorders to muscular disorders. They can also help people recover from injuries and operations; as long as this assistance is related to a person’s disability, it is eligible for funding by the NDIS.
By working with qualified exercise physiologists, participants can achieve:
- improved strength and mobility
- improved balance and coordination
- higher energy levels
- increased flexibility
- stress reduction and improved mood
- increased confidence
- weight loss
- achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle
- enhanced independence
